A 30-Year Journey of Transformation

Patrick started his career in the early 1980s in the hotel’s food and beverage industry. He got promoted to post of executive chef in 10 years. He thought that he only knows a little about cooking. He believes cooking is not just about how to cook, but also the chef's cooking attitude: willingness to accept different opinions, continuous innovation and continuous learning. In the early 1990s, he managed the Western Kitchen Department in a four-star hotel in Guilin and Guangzhou. He began to experience direct contact with mainlanders. During that time, he trained many local chefs and helped set up the Guangzhou Western Chef Association.

In 1992, the mainland economy suddenly grew at a high-speed. Many people thought that they can earn money easily under such atmosphere and started their own business. Patrick also thought that it was a golden opportunity. With the good connections built-in those years, he thought that he could success in setting up his own restaurant, but the restaurant eventually closed down in less than a year.

After returning to Hong Kong for development in 1995, he was committed to launching a new business. He hoped to know more about business outside the catering industry. He joined the boutique wholesale industry and helped a company to turn from a wholesaler to an enterprise that designs, markets and exports.

In 2002, Patrick founded the Dynamix Coaching & Consulting and hoped to create positive change through training. He focuses on corporate training, aiming to motivate people to explore their potentials and create their vision.

In 2011, Patrick founded the Dynamix DMX.hk, a media company with a vision to become an influential platform. Through the sharing by different means, the platform aims to spread out positive values and messages and injects positive energy to the society.

In 2015, riding on the basis of the media company, Onespecialday.hk was born. Even though there was demand in running special events, the business finally failed due to wrong positioning and strategy. Yet, he had gained much experience in event management. Finally, Patrick returned to work on Corporate Training in year 2016.

Unexpectedly, the experiences accumulated in running various businesses, become very authentic experiences that can be applied in corporate training.
